Mélanie her path

Back in 2018 Mélanie felt an unease in her body - She had the nice corporate job, Master's degree in Business Administration and marketing, however something didn't feel right. She felt the need to listen to her inner voice.. But she struggled with her own made up expectations of her surroundings. The constant inner voice of her ego telling her: 'What would people think? Everyone else is fine in her corporate job why can't you?'

She had always been passionate about art and in particular jewelry, she dreamed about a life as a creative entrepreneur, starting a goldsmith education and how it would be like to choose her own true path and to actually take the leap of faith and pursuing her dream.

Almost 5 years later, she still celebrates her choice of choosing her own path. Milestones are always there and she is pursuing her dream and knows her path is hers only...

Doing things differently

Mélanie Pigeaud Jewelry, is a sustainable jewelry brand based in Amsterdam since 2018. Born out of the search for craftmanship and high quality jewelry made from recycled gold and silver, made under fair conditions.

Back in 2018 Mélanie Pigeaud could not find a jewelry brand with that specific core focus on sustainability combined with high quality and local craftmanship. A brand that would be eager enough to always challenge the industry. Therefor she decided to step up the game and start a company that would do it differently..

Mélanie Pigeaud noticed a lack of knowledge about the background of jewelry while this has been a rare and imbalanced industry for centuries.

At MP Jewelry Almost every design is made out of recycled gold or silver by RJC chain of custody certified partners that solely use recycled gold and silver. Therefor we are a proud member of the Responsible Jewelry Council. This is the highest organ in the industry selectin brands doing things the right way.

Local craftmanship.

We truly believe in craftmanship and local production to minimize our footprint in every step of the production process. We always work with the best qualified ateliers and the top notch diamond merchants to maintian our quality standards.

Furthermore, our challenge is to keep low stock levels and to stay interesting for our clients by always looking for the latest innovation on desings, materials, our packaging and logistic possibilities.

RJC Certified recycled gold and silver

Jewelry is an century-old expression of our identities. The first jewelry that have been found come from 3000 + years ago. This means that a lot of silver and gold has already been won that can be easily recycled. Our designs are all made from recycled RJC certified precious metals. In this way we minimize the impact in the industry. And we are a very proud member of the RJC community since 2023!

Mp celebrates their 6 year anniversary this year and we are now with a family of 6! Super excited to be working with such a dedicated and professional team who really thrives by delivering customer experience on the highest level.

Mélanie Pigeaud Jewelry always reserves the right to deny any returns and exchanges that are unreasonable.
Returns on unworn jewelry and exchanges are accepted within 14 days of purchase. We always do a thorough inspection on scratches, clasps and other technical aspects before we can inform you about a succesfull return. PLEASE NOTE! Due to hygiene: earrings and piercings are NOT able to be returned!
Email your request to support@melaniepigeaud.com. You will receive all the details you need for sending back your order.
IMPORTANT any return must always be in the original branded jewelry box of Mélanie Pigeaud Jewelry and must contain a note with: 1)The order number 2)The full name and 3) The e-mail of the customer who did the purchase. WITHOUT THIS: WE WILL NOT PROCESS IT AS A RETURN!
A purchase of any 'SALE' OR DISCOUNTED item in the webshop or in the atelier is final and is not able to be returned.
A purchase of any product which is clearly stated at the product page of the variant that the item contains a made to order item: cannot be returned because this is part of our custom made jewelry policy (see below).
A purchase in 'Archive sale' is final and cannot be returned.
Shipment for returns are for the customers’ own costs. The customer takes full responsibility for any damages/losses or any reason for the return not to be handed over in our atelier. We are in no case responsible for delivery of any return. If you want to be sure the return in safely in our atelier, please come by in person during opening hours.
If you order a 14k gold bracelet please always ask before purchasing if the bracelet is possible to be resized in case the bracelet will not fit (too big or too small). Some items are not possible for resizing due to their structure. Please be aware that resizing brings costs: €50 euro’s for making a bracelet smaller.
CUSTOM MADE JEWELRY POLICY: All custom made jewelry (such as special sizes we order/produce particular for the customer or resized items of our standard items), all bespoke (engagement) rings/jewelry cannot be returned. We make these items specially with a lot of care and we also always clearly state this on your invoice and on the website at the product page.
Bespoke/custom made items cannot be returned once the 100% upfront payment is done. The production process will get started after the upfront payment is received. By then you agree on the stone, on the design and on everything agreed upon in our written conversations: by email, whatsapp and by the invoice you pay 100% upfront. Mélanie always advises in her best capacity. Once agreed on stones and design your purchase is final and cannot be returned. This is in line with dutch law on customized products.
